Keagan, Jacy, and I helped out. The camp was based on Dragons and Knights. The boys made swords and armor, and had jousts with each other. They were able to try on real chain mail, which was so heavy they needed help standing up! One day was so dry and hot that the local firemen came by and sprayed us all till we were cooled off. Later in the week Blaise and Keagan got to make official Scout Rock collections (they love rocks!), leather sachels, and tool leather. Jacy helped out in the nursery. We all had a great time.

Summer Vacations

Just as school let out we were on our way to Utah for a baby shower for Jen. It was so much fun to see Jen pregnant and so happy. We thought it would be a while before she had the baby, and we flew off to Chicago to see Nan. She had a few little light-headed problems, but is still doing well. We went out to dinner each night with Nan and Don. It was wonderful to be with them again. We also went to see the play, "Wicked." It was terrific. The play is like a pre-quel to the "Wizard of Oz" and gives you all the back story for the scarecrow, lion, and tinman. I loved it and Sergio didn't fall asleep! Then, almost as we arrived back home, Josh called to say Jen was in labor! A few days after their beautiful son, Mason, was born, Sergio and I headed back up to Utah to see our newest grandson. He is beautiful and perfect! I am grateful to Heavenly Father for this wonderful blessing in all of our lives. And I am also grateful for our other beautiful grandchildren.
